4 Things That Actually Helped My Depression
If you like me have suffered from depression, these 4 things are bound to help you on your journey whenever you come across this post:
1. Essential Oils
One of many things that helped me overcome my depression several years ago was using essential oils.
The ones that truly helped me, at the time, were Cheer Touch and Motivate Touch. I would roll each of them on my wrists (as they are rollerballs) and smell them throughout the day. They really helped me stay grounded and calm.
If you would love to know more about essential oils, please reach out. You can even order them from me through my doTerra website: my.doterra.com/michellecordy
2. Nature
Nature is super soothing.
Do you take the time to realize the beauty all around us?
I love being out in the fresh air. I love seeing and hearing the birds sing. Paying attention to the cloud formations as the Universe is always giving us signs. The flowers, the trees, the plants – all of it brings me great joy!
Also, I really love nature photography!
3. Sun
Did you know that the sun upgrades our DNA? It indeed does.
Sungazing about 30 minutes after sunrise and 30 minutes before sunset are the safest times to look at the sun without sunglasses or a hat.
The sun opens our pineal gland, gives us vitamin D, enhances our energy level, improves our immune system, reduces stress, supplies nutrients to our brain, encourages a positive mindset, and so much more.
4. Meditation
I like to either sit in silence or do a guided meditation. There are so many on YouTube or on apps. A lot of people do not like to sit in silence. They need noise.
Well, in silence, answers arise.
When you are distracting yourself in other ways such as with food, alcohol or your phone, you are denying your higher self to guide you on where you need to be on your path.
