Unconditional Love

If you have pets, do you ever think about the unconditional love they have for you?

Before my transformational journey of self-care and self-love, and I worked outside of the home, no matter what kind of day I had, my boys (my cockatiel birds) would greet me with heart wings and whistles while I got them out of their individual cages. They loved me no matter what kind of day I had or whatever mood I was in.

They love that I work from home now as they get to sleep until whenever they want and whistle when they are ready to get up and out of their cages, instead of having to wait for me to get home in the early evening after being in their cages all day. I hear their constant whistling from my office, and I receive heart wings and kisses throughout the day when checking in on them.

What if we all had unconditional love for ourselves and for one another?

Here’s what you can you do to give yourself unconditional love:

  • Stop the negative self-talk!

  • Tell yourself, “I love you.”

  • Be happy with who you are today vs wishing you were this, that or whatever.

Here’s what you can do to give someone else unconditional love:

  • Accept one another for who they are.

  • Have meaningful conversations where you are both fully present and see each other’s perspectives.

  • Be appreciative of one another.

This is why we are here…to love unconditionally. It is a part of our deep inner being.

What are you going to do for yourself and/or someone else today?
